Examples of completed projects with different designs

Bankside Lofts
65 Hopton Street, Bankside, London
A Micro Flat of 27 sq m (290 sq ft), designed and built as a self-contained extension to Carol Thatcher’s existing penthouse.
Simple existing roof with existing lift and staircase to roof level and simple penthouse design with vertical walls.
Therefore and despite the small size, the cost to build was low.

Phase 2
St Johns Wood Court, St. John’s Wood Road, St. John’s Wood, London
Four penthouses ranging from 127 sq m (1,366 sq ft) to 192 sq m (2066 sq ft). Three were pre-sold and designed to suit each purchaser.
Fairly simple roof although lifts and staircases had to be extended. Fairly simple penthouse design with vertical walls, but with false mansard and dormer windows. Beefed up structure due to roof terrace above.
Medium build cost.

Albert Court
Prince Consort Road, Knightsbridge, London
Seven penthouses ranging from 74 sq m (796 sq ft) to 378 sq m (4,067 sq ft).
Complex existing roof with extension of lifts and staircases and grade II listed building. Complex penthouse design.
Despite the large size and economy of scale, high build cost.
